Iconic Walter Durham home gets a new look…..

The breakfast nook was a key feature of the kitchen that required careful attention. While adding base cabinetry and raising the sill height would have provided additional storage, it would have significantly reduced the natural light. Instead, we opted to replace the floor-to-ceiling windows and designed a custom white oak banquette, adding both functionality and extra seating without compromising the light-filled space

The original kitchen featured a false sill that concealed the lower portion of the window to accommodate base cabinets. We removed this obstruction, opening up the space, and extended the new marble countertops into the deep window well, creating a seamless and elegant design detail.
